In 1969, the Chapter adopted "Chippie" the Chipmunk as its Get-Well-Guy in honor of member Howard Frohock, a very active member who brought many new members into the chapter. Howard owned Cox Campers where many RVers purchased their campers. When he became ill, the chapter members all signed and sent him a Get-Well card with a chipmunk on it. Howard passed away in August of 1970. Later, member Luci Smith drew the little chipmunk for the logo for the cover of the chapter newsletter. If you look closely, you will find the initials LS for Lucy Smith, AB for Arlene Blodgett, and RB for Rose Berquist.  These three took over the newsletter in 1969/1970.
