Secretary Minutes
March 17, 2007

     Vice President Larry Converse brought the meeting to order at The Charlestown Fire Station with a flag salute and a moment of silence for our sick and departed members. Roll call of officers found Hannah Wilder and Dave Paul absent.
     A thank you to the supper committee.
     A motion was made by Ray Hull, seconded by Dave Green to accept the Secretary's minutes as printed in the newsletter. So Moved.
     Treasurer Cindy Carter presented the treasurers report; a motion was made by Dave Green, seconded by Marguerite Davis to accept the report, subject to audit. So moved.
     After discussion about the savings account, a motion was made by Dave Green, seconded by Jody Himebaugh to put $1,000.00 from savings into the Certificate of Deposit along with the $2,000.00 from checking already motioned previously. So moved.
     Next months meeting will be Pizza and Ice Cream. Ray Hull and Dave Green will be our committee. Janice will make her yummy chocolate sauce, Larry will bring the Ice Cream and Sophia will bring the toppings.
     Jim Carter reported that our next scheduled meeting the fire station has an event at the same time. A motion was made by Sophia Green, seconded by Rose Berquist that we move our meeting to Sunday April 21st at 6:00PM. So moved.
     Under old business our Chapter Tent Peg is still missing, if any members remember whom bid on it at Horseshoe Acres Labor Day Weekend of 2005 please let an Officer of the Chapter know as soon as possible.
     Under new business we need wagon masters for monthly campouts. The month of May will be NAFCA's Annual Spring Safari. June will be Invitational Weekend at Crow's Nest. July, August and September are open for suggestions. If any interest let your Officers know.
     According to Jody our new Webmaster, please check the NAFCA website @ www.nafca.org/springfield/ to use the site the required password is Springfield and the User Name is nafcachapter1. Good Luck. If any problems contact Jody @ jodyinvermont@comcast.net
     Our chapter is looking for ads for our newsletter IF you remember a few years ago we had advertising business cards ad in our newsletter to help defray our costs we have decided to give it another try. ALL members please try to find at least one ad. The cost for entire years is only $20.00. This will give you exposure in our newsletter PLUS on the NAFCA web site, which is very large. Bring in your ads to Treasurer Cindy as soon as possible.
A motion was made by Dave Green, seconded by Ray Hull to charge $20.00 per year for a business card ad for our newsletter. So moved.
     On another note our editor would like everyone's birthday and anniversary to update the chapter records.
     Marguerite Davis won the travel money
     Ray Hull won the 50/50 raffle
     Ruth Smith won the door prize
